Portrait of Nyemwang Wangshu, a Konyak man from Nagaland, India. The Konyak Nagas are well-known around the world for their warring culture of times past. Territorial disputes between villages often led to brutal battles in which bringing back the head of your enemy was the goal. Now old men, the former warriors of the Konyak people share their stories with those who visit and are willing to listen.
This print comes signed and packaged with a certificate of authenticity detailing the stories I was told by Nyemwang Wangshu during my visit.
