Portrait of Naraen, a Tanshan man from Sagaing Division, Myanmar. The Tanshan, like many Naga peoples, were not a peaceful people until recently. Naraen’s story reflects their brutal past, even though he now spends his days weaving baskets for his fellow villagers.
This print comes signed and packaged with a certificate of authenticity detailing the stories I was told by Naraen during my visit.
